The Greedy Dog is a classic fable about a dog who is always looking for more, never satisfied with what he has. One day, he steals a bone from a butcher and runs away to enjoy his prize alone. On his way home, he crosses a bridge and sees his reflection in the water, mistaking it for another dog with an even bigger bone. Greedily, he tries to snatch the bone from the other dog, only to end up losing his own in the process. The moral of the story is that greed and selfishness ultimately lead to loss and regret.
